The Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority (TCIAA) said that disruptions to flight operations due to the continual failures of the aerodrome fire services in Grand Turk, are believed to be caused by acts of sabotage/vandalism to vital equipment.
The matter is under investigation and TCIAA management said it has taken all reasonable efforts and actions to mitigate as much as possible further disruption to flight operations at Grand Turk aerodromes.
Meanwhile, the protected fenced area at the Providenciales Airport is being extended to facilitate further development/construction work.
