Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) resident, fashion designer Oyuna Tuyssuzian, is in her home country of Mongolia to work on her new collection called "Urban Nomad".

Undoubtedly, the inspiration will be completely different from the previous collection, which was inspired by the colours and textures of the Caribbean. Her new inspiration is her trip to Mongolia -- the land of high mountains, vast terrains and steppes.

She is planning to come back to the Caribbean with her Fall/Winter 2012 collection in September.

From an early age Oyuna was interested in fashion and her design aesthetic has been shaped by her experiences working in diverse areas in the fashion industry.

When she decided to start her own label in Vancouver, Canada, she sought to use her skills and knowledge acquired throughout her career to make beautifully constructed clothing using quality materials. She believes in flattering a woman’s body through great tailoring and fit, with a focus on silhouette and line.
