Open letter to British ministers
Published on March 26, 2013 Email To Friend    Print Version

Misers William Hague and Mark Simmonds
Parliamentary Ministers
House of Commons
London, UK

Dear sirs,

This short letter comes to draw attention to a seeming lack of attention to detail in the operation of a bi-election in the British Overseas Territory Turks and Caicos Islands.

Over Forty Eight (48) hours ago polls closed in a supreme court ordered bi-election, in the Seventh Electoral District Cheshire Hall and Richmond Hills, in the said OT. The results of this election will determine the balance of power in the OT's parliament. At the time of writing this correspondence, the Turks and Caicos Government has not issued a written notice of the returns of such election.

The OT's communications manager designate Mr Phillip Rushbrook has been non-forthcoming with information since the close of the polls and has not disseminated the data that is customarily disseminated to the media.

Please see that this matter is given due attention.

Yours faithfully
