News from the Turks and Caicos Islands:

Back To Today's News

Letter: A response to Neil Smith
Published on November 8, 2012 Email To Friend    Print Version

Mr Smith,

With all due respect;

Whether or not your recent statement is true that “Governor Ric Todd continues to enjoy the full support of UK ministers and officials”, remains to be seen. Hopefully those “UK ministers and officials” are smart enough to check on the validity of the false and misleading information that has been regularly disseminated by yourself, Ric Todd and some of the other current British administrators in the TCI.

Governor Ric Todd was cut from the same cloth, and enjoys exactly the same credibility among Turks and Caicos Islanders as the infamous former British Labour MP and Overseas Territories Minister Meg Munn who, after visiting the TCI on a fact-finding tour announced “no finding of serious corruption” in the TCI.

There is one fact that is indisputable and cannot be manipulated by Waterloo or Whitehall; the overwhelming majority of the people living and doing business in the TCI want to see Ric Todd leave these islands today, if not sooner!

Governor Ric Todd has been and continues to be an insidious cancer that is threatening permanent damage to the heritage, culture and dignity of the TCI.

Go home Ric, NOW! We don’t want you here. You are no longer welcome.

Frank Morgan
