Census finally underway

Census forms, maps and other supplies have reached all bases of operation and the counting of residents has begun.

Originally scheduled to begin on January 25, it appears those responsible for managing the census were not able to meet this schedule. The census is scheduled to be completed in March, only weeks away.

The government has asked all residents to cooperate with the census takers and to furnish all the requested information.

One group being emphasized are the illegal immigrants, who are asked to cooperate with census takers, who are pledged and sworn to secrecy.

The government has promised that information furnished for the census cannot be used against any resident for any reason.
